A Garden with a View: London Sky Gardens

We all know the satisfaction of sitting in a garden and chilling there after a long day. We enjoy sitting there on a nice sunny day, enjoying the heat and getting sun-kissed. Nothing beats having a nice cold drink under the sun lit trees, with birds chirping and squirrels dancing. But what about a garden with a view?

The Shard might hold the title of best views in London, but I beg to differ. The Shard is the tallest building in London, and surely has views that are breathtaking and incomparable. But what the Sky Gardens in the Walkie Talkie building has is awe-inspiring and mind-blowing.london city view

First, let us start with the architecture of the Walkie Talkie. You enter a building that stands tall among all of the London skyscrapers. The entrance makes you feel like you’re entering into what you know will be an amazing experience. Just from the building itself, you know the garden will be great.

When you first walk into the 30th-floor garden, the vibes emerging from the place sends signals of a fun and relaxing environment. You then head on to take a stroll across the 360-degree view that shows different angles of beautiful London. Your eyes first set sight on the Shard, towering high over the whole city. On your right you see the stunning London Eye just miles away from St. Paul’s Cathedral. As you continue your walk, from the right, you head on up to reach the back where the Gherkin stands in front of the Heron tower. Be sure to continue your round till you come across Tower Bridge standing over the River Thames! If you look carefully, you’ll get a sight of the Tower of London, where 888,246 poppies were once placed representing “Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red”, to honor one British or colonial life lost during the First World War.river thames

The ambiance is not to be missed. The design of the chairs and tables are picture-worthy. You head on over to the bar, where the menu holds a selection of cocktails that will have you confused and in need to try them all. The bartender will ask what you would like to drink, then go on to prepare your drink in the most fashionable and artistic manner possible. Believe me, when I say this, any cocktail you have will look awesome and you would not want to ruin the design. But you will have to because it is great!

The restaurant on the upper deck is definitely worth a try. The whole place really is somewhere not to be missed when you visit London. It’s a great place for after-work drinks or just a place to sit back and relax where you can enjoy the view, with great music.

We also have a solution for you for those cold and windy London days. Our private chefs will whip up a three-course meal for you that will make you feel like you’re sitting in Sky Gardens on top of the world!
