A truly amazing Sunday would ideally involve Tabbouleh and barbecue with a sip of Arak in some of Lebanon’s most beautiful villages.

Even those who dislike salads could never refuse such a tempting dish because of its beautiful presentation and distinctive aroma. The way the ingredients are mixed and the specificity of the amounts added, gives it an incredibly special and distinctive taste. Homemade Tabbouleh

  1. 40g burghul or cracked wheat
  2. 2 large tomatoes, finely chopped
  3. 60 mL lemon juice
  4. 600g chopped fresh parsley leaves
  5. 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  6. 60 mL olive oil
  7. Pinch of salt
  1. Start by cutting tomatoes and onions in very small pieces as well as chopping parsley leaves.
  2. Put them in a large bowl, then add some cracked wheat above them to have a heterogeneous mixture (One with different layers).
  3. Pour some oil and lemon juice to the ingredients.
  4. Mix while adding salt throughout the process to ensure the best taste.
  1. Hint: the secret to its yummy taste--getting your hands dirty while mixing!
