ChefXchange and Kitchen Lab: a match made in Lebanon

It has been a tough week; after days and nights of following up and constant correspondence between ChefXchange and Kitchen Lab, we are happy to introduce what is sure to be a great success story between our two companies.

With Chef Roberto here in Lebanon now, it may seem like an easy coordination task for our community managers, who are in charge of making this event happen–but it’s not! Showtime starts in a couple of hours in Kitchen Lab, with 16 passionate food lovers attending a Peruvian cooking lesson, and everything needs to be in place for tonight. This is so exciting, yet slightly nerve-racking, to be honest!

Kitchen Lab is a unique concept dedicated to food and cooking. It is located in a charming old house in Gemmayzeh, which is divided into three spaces: an organic grocery store, a professional kitchen for cooking classes and a shop full of cooking accessories and “art de la table” items for purchase. Striving to offer their foodies a unique cooking class, Kitchen Lab contacted us to organize a Latin cooking class in Beirut. With all of our talented chefs located both domestically in Beirut and abroad, it was not an easy task choosing a chef. We came to the conclusion that private chef Roberto would be the perfect candidate for such a unique task!

Quinoa Prawns by Chef Roberto

So what’s on the menu for tonight? Chef Roberto proposed 6 different unique courses ranging from classic ceviche, quinoa prawns, lamb chops, sea bass tiradito, octopus, and wagyu ribeye. As mouthwatering and delicious as these dishes sound, we will have to wait a few more hours to see the magic. We’re confident in our culinary magician who has promised to educate us and serve the true taste of Peru for the first time in Lebanon. Stay tuned for the final results and photos!
