How To Plan A Bachelorette Party? Bachelorette Party Planning Checklist Included

It is ok to be a little terrified. You may think that all the other bridesmaids out there have it under control but that is 100% a false assumption. Planning a bachelorette is a hard task. You have to think about the guests, about the bride and how to make sure everyone will have a great time. When my brother was getting married I was my sister-in-law’s made of honor. I was maybe 19 at the time and knew absolutely nothing about bachelorette parties. To the point where I didn’t even know that I was supposed to be organising one. Fortunately for me, my sister-in-law had some great friends and they had it under control. They organised an absolutely amazing bachelorette weekend. Learning from my past mistakes,  or perhaps I should say: being taught by some great women how the bachelorette is done, I am no longer fearing when one of my best friends will be getting married. I think a bachelorette can be an absolute blast.

1. Create a list of people who will be coming to the party and choose a team to help you plan

list

Number 1 on the list of how to plan a bachelorette party is to get people that can help you with organizing. You will love working in a team and it’s going to become much more fun and much less of a burden. You can choose some of your friends or brides family members. Make sure you make a complete list of people that you want to invite for the event itself. The best way to make sure that everyone will have fun and will be able to attend is to keep everyone in the loop.

2. Decide on budget

A second big thing to decide on is a budget. See how much everyone can pitch in for the event and decide what activities you can do with the money that you have. There is plenty of fun things to do on a tighter budget as well as a bigger one. Make sure that everyone feels comfortable will pitching in and that you are not creating plans that may be a bit too extravagant or too modest for your guests. The last thing you want is people feeling awkward about the money.

3. Collect money from everyone before bachelorette party

Another point on the account of money. Make sure that once everyone is on the same page about the budget, you actually collect the money. Do it as soon as you can, since some of the activities that you may decide on, will require bookings and prepayments and of course you do not want to pay everything yourself.  If it’s a last minute bachelorette then keep the price low, people won’t have time to save up.

4. Pick the right date that is convenient for everyone

The next step in how to plan a bachelorette party is to ask all the guests about their availability and of course make sure that the bride is free as well. You can keep the plans a surprise for her but she needs to know the date! Depending on how big your party is, you can put on a survey or do a facebook poll and see what the best time is for everyone. If you make a group on facebook for planning, it will be super easy to keep everyone informed and engaged.  And for last minute bachelorette party ideas a facebook group is very efficient.
