Crispy Sesame Chicken Wings with a Sticky Asian Sauce

These crispy sesame chicken wings are amazing to chuck on a BBQ. There’s always the danger that BBQ chicken is boring, it’s always the same, and so it sits on the side of the plate feeling sorry for itself. Not these chicken wings! They have so much flavor, and they are definitely not boring. They’re a little on the spicy-side, because of sriracha sauce. However, even if you are a lightweight when it comes to the number of chillies on the menu, you can handle this dish. I’ve utter faith in you.

I would personally recommend keeping them for a few extra minutes on the grill, just to make sure that the meat slips off the bone. At the same time don’t be tempted to keep them for too long… unless you love burned and dry meat. If that’s what you like, then who am I to judge, but all I’m saying is… that juicy chickeny goodness is what we’re aiming for here! The recipe can also be adjusted for vegetarians. Instead of using meat you can try tofu and fry it in a wok, or sweet potato which you can grill alongside the wings. This versatility makes this dish an easy way to have one prep session and still make sure everyone is happy. The point is, you can totally wing this recipe (…get it?!) and make it your own – I’m just here to start you in the right direction.
