Instructions
  1. Fry the minced beef in vegetable oil for 10 minutes, add the spices to it.

  2. In the meantime, you can wash, peal and chop the eggplant into small cubes. After frying the eggplant, put it in a separate pan and add some vegetable oil until the eggplant is browned a bit. Do not forget to stir the mixture so the eggplant doesn’t burn!

  3. Cut the pita bread into small pieces and mix well with olive oil. After making sure that the pieces are sparking, put them in an oven at 150°C until they become dry and crunchy.

  4. After the eggplant is browned, transfer it to the pot containing the minced meat. Add the pomegranate thickened juice, the crushed garlic clove, the tomato paste and some water to dilute the sauce.
    Cook the blend for about 20 minutes over medium heat , and make sure there’s not too much sauce remaining to avoid getting a soupy dish.

  5. After all the work is done, place the minced meat and eggplant mixture on a tray, cover it with yogurt and garnish it with the pieces of baked pita bread on top.

  6. Optional: if you like garlic, you can also mix some crushed garlic with the yogurt in order to add to the taste.
