Italian Penne with White Sauce Recipe

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and follow the instructions to cook your preferred pasta brand.

While the pasta is cooking.

Melt the butter in a medium sauce pan over a low heat.

Add the flour and cook for 5 minutes stirring it.

Slowly add the milk stirring constantly.

Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce has thickened to a double cream consistency.

Add the grated cheddar (optional) stir until melted.

Season with salt and pepper.

Drain the pasta and pour over the sauce mixing gently.

Add the grated Parmesan on top.
