The Do’s and Don’ts of Dinner Parties

Planning a perfect dinner party can be quite daunting. However, if you follow the event designer Colin Cowie’s ‘ground rule tips’ of organising dinner parties, it may not be so hard anymore.

The Do’s and Don’ts of organising a dinner party

  1. Preparation is the key to a good event. Plan and prepare the menu in such a way that it allows you to be social during the night: you don’t want to be spending all your time in the kitchen! Hiring a Private Chef to cater your event may be a good option to do this.
  2. The ambience can be changed completely by creating a playlist and playing music that matches the theme of the night.
  3. Always leave room for unexpected extras. It can get quite embarrassing if you run out of food for a ‘surprise extra guest’ or even a very hungry guest! Always make 15% more than what you anticipate will be required

If you are planning to host an event and agree that hiring a private chef will make your night all the more perfect, check out some of the chefs you can hire in London.
