How did you start your journey?
I specialize in regional Italian cuisine. My repertoire of dishes range from rustic Tuscan fare to elegant Venetian dishes. My flavor profiles range from refined and delicate cream sauces from the Turin region made with a touch of French flair to vibrant and bold Sicilian cuisine that is reminiscent of the flavors of North Africa and the Middle East. I have mastered the art of making pasta, risotto and Sicilian couscous. Fresh vegetables and herbs, exquisite meats and seafood, and high-quality imported Italian ingredients such as Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and Prosciutto di San Daniele are the foundations of all my dishes.
Where is your cuisine inspired from?
I have been cooking for over 25 years. I am a caterer, personal chef and cookbook author. I have written two cookbooks: In the Footsteps of Nonna -Recipes and Ramblings in Southern Italy and Sicily (Pelican Publishing, Spring 2016); Culinary Crossroads of Italy -Recipes and Ramblings in Northern Italy, Istria and Dalmatia (Fall 2016).
