How did the Chef learn how to cook and what is his story?

From the early days of running through the kitchens of my grandparents coastal pub I knew I always wanted to be close to food. There is a rich family history of cooking and hospitality which I embraced. Holidays also played a big part in my hunger for different food Europe and beyond.

Daniel was absolutely outstanding. I had hired him to host an event for 30 people and I couldn't have been happier. Leading up to the event he was responsive with my questions , helpful with dietary requests and very thorough when walking me through the details. The day of the event, he was punctual and professional. The food was delicious and he prepared something for everyone. I would definitely recommend chef Daniel and will look to hire him again in the future.

Dan created a delicious summer menu which all out guests and we greatly enjoyed. He was great at explaining the food throughout our meal . We had excellent freshly made ravioli, stone bass and pistachio cake for dessert. One guest was vegetarian and he offered a delicious alternative to our fish main course. He left our kitchen very clean and tidy. Thank you Dan.

Overall we were a little disappointed. However Daniel and Henry can clearly cook to a high standard and the food itself was not the weak point on the night. As Henry said he has just branched out to doing this as his own business so we will be as constructive with the feedback as possible to help them improve for future events. In addition, our guests were happy which is the most important this for us, but still, here is our honest feedback: The waiting staff were untrained and unprofessional (one more than the other) and drinking on the job was unacceptable. These people are your first impression and you're doing yourself and your food a disservice by not having the right people in place. The pacing of the food was painful with long delays between courses and dessert only arriving around 11.30pm. The food before the starters was underwhelming and seemed a bit pointless, especially by the time we got it. The starter itself was interesting, tasty and refreshing, on the hot night. The main courses were very good, though portions on the small side. The dessert was fantastic, but came really late as mentioned above. The wine pairing could have been done better by simply putting bottles on tables and allowing people to drink at their own pace rather than running dry between courses. Tables sat dry for up to 30 minutes at some point and at no stage did the waiting staff come around to top up. I appreciate it was hot on the night and they were working in a new kitchen that was even hotter than the eating area, but we've been served better in terms of food pacing etc out of the same kitchen with the same size group. Choice of music was questionable - playlist was changed on arrival but switched back to something less suitable later in the night. Be mindful of the music volume while cleaning up too - the venue owners received a noise complaint from the neighbours for 1am. They also said a couple things were not quite right according to the breakdown list left by the venue's chef, so again, if you're using 3rd party premises you'll always need to be extra careful. So overall we would really advise you to get professional serving staff (or train those guys better) so service matches the level of the food. Food-wise try to ensure pacing is a bit quicker between courses, and if you're going to do wine-pairing try to put bottles on tables - it won't cost you much more wine but will take the pressure off the waiting staff a bit and means guests who want to drink a bit more can do so. If any of this means you need to reject some jobs, pay more for better staff, or even reject some jobs I would say do it because it's your name and reputation and with the calibre of food you're looking to deliver people expect everything else to match. As I said, all intended as constructive feedback and we do understand there were inherent challenges on the night with the heat.

This was my first experience with a chef at home and I wasn't disappointed. All my questions were answered very quickly. My couple of dietary requirements were accommodated with ease. Chef Daniel arranged a waitress for me as well. From the moment they arrived I didn't have to lift a finger. Chef Daniel navigated the kitchen and provided the most amazing meal. All my guests were very complimentary. The overall experience was one I will be repeating again.

Chef Daniel was great! He was very flexible before the event (not on with my special menu requests but also with my change of dates). Once at our home he was fantastic, the menu was great, he was so tidy and had arrived so well prepared! We had a good interactive chat whilst he was with us and explained the menu very well. Overall fantastic and could not recommend him enough and I would re-book in an instant!

It was fabulous to have Dan in our house on Christmas Day, he completely took the stress out of Christmas and left us to enjoy a lovely day with the family. I will definitely be using your company again.

Chef Daniel was a pleasure to have in our kitchen. He came prepared and delivered an amazing 4 course meal. He answered all the questions we had and explained every single dish. His chocolate and caramel delice with a homemade banana ice cream was to die for! Thank you Chef!
