Duke Ellington was once asked what other styles of music he likes besides jazz, he gave his questioner a quizzical look and replied "son, there are only two kinds of music - good and bad - I like the good kind. I think the same thing applies to food. My food is not specific to any genre, but is informed by a creative process that has been a four decade long pursuit of perfection.

How did the Chef learn how to cook and what is his story?
If my mother is to be believed, the first meal I cooked was breakfast in bed for mother's day... when I was four. Food has been a central part of my life ever since. I hosted my first dinner party at 13, cooked all the food for my own high school graduation party (whether host or a guest, I would still rather be in the kitchen at any party,) started a catering company while an undergrad, spun off a personal chef service while in grad school, and apprenticed with amazing chefs from around this country and the world. All of that being said, my culinary sensibilities are most informed by books.
