How did you start your journey?
My daily habits include buying fresh ingredients and cooking at least 2 meals a day. In short, cooking is my happy time. My meals reflect my personality. When I cook, I do it with passion, I become my ingredients. As much as it’s a pleasure to cook, it’s an even greater feeling to enjoy it with whomever. My motto in life would be “the more the merrier, my dining table is stretchable”. Therefore, to share the same love of cooking that has sprung to life, I decided to start a concept called Halalooya. Halalooya is focused on inspiring people in many aspects of having a healthier life. My vision was to combine my two passions for taste and fitness for a good cause. With this project in hand, I expanded my knowledge by attaining a diploma in cooking & culinary arts to ensure that only the best is shared with my clients.
Where is your cuisine inspired from?
My beautiful girl was born in 2003. She is the reason behind my love for cooking and my appreciation towards being healthy and fit. In the process, I learned how to pick my ingredients based on quality which mostly meant leaving out processed foods by making recipes from scratch. It dawned on me that I had to be a role model to her and by that, my love for her was reflected in my cooking. That’s how my passion for cooking began…
