How did the Chef learn how to cook and what is his story?

I have become synonymous with great food! I am a successful private chef and motivational speaker based in the DC metro area, as well as serving clients globally. I have created my own personal style by mixing my love of food with that of techniques from some of the best chefs in the country and beyond. I have been a self-taught chef for the past few years and am a regular culinary contributor on Fox and Friend’s Morning Show. I have also made appearances on Neighborhood Chef and ABC’s The Chew. My accomplishments include “Crowd Favorite” at The Travel Channel’s Fiery Foods Challenge, winner of the DC local competition of Top Chef for Love Night Club and a Season 4 Contestant on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay! I have provided my culinary services to the likes of Jill Scott and have toured the world with Lady Gaga. Additionally, I speak to youth about achieving their dreams and mastering their craft.

    Chef J was kind and very professional. He arrived on time, and cleaned up and also brought a server to assist in the event. The overall experience was great, but the food itself was a bit lacking. It seemed to be on the bland side and lacked the nuance we were looking for with the dishes. We did not interact during the event, and not too much interaction before hand. I did reach out to make sure we were on the same page and he was responsive. Unfortunately due to the food itself I would not rehire this chef for our tastes.

    I truly cannot say thank you enough about the Mr, Foodtastic (Chef J ) experience. Chef J truly created pot poetry in our kitchen and made my birthday one to remember. He was professional and personable and made the event feel like a family gathering and he was part of the family. The food was flavorful and fresh and every dish he prepared he explained completely. I even learned something new. Have you ever had or heard of lotus root??!?! Yeah me either, but Chef J taught me! I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Foodtastic and the experience, but what I can do is book him again and again, which will definitely be doing!!! Thanks again Mr. Foodtastic!!!

    Chef J was awesome! From the preparing to the presenting, he was friendly, fun and knows his food! His ravioli was incredible as was the rest of the food. He really customized the menu to meet our needs! We'll definitely ask for him again!!

    The food was amazing. Chef J was very informative and professional. My husband truly enjoyed the experience and he is a picky eater. Working with Chef J to create a man menu was a breeze. He had a lot of great ideas. The food was well seasoned and absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend for future events and to potential clients.
