Summary of where the Chef’s cuisine is inspired from and how he/she goes about expressing it
I feel inspired to cook healthy, modern American and international cuisines prepared with interesting and unusual vegetables, spices and kosher ingredients. With the background as a mashgicha, I have the knowledge and experience to prepare Glatt kosher meals in the homes of my clients. Menus for my catering often emerge from my love to research and cook foods from historical periods and far away places. Having a health education background enables me to create recipes and cook meals for individuals with allergies, significant illnesses and health conditions. Deciphering the puzzle of what I can prepare that enables people to enjoy their food stay healthy and become well again is genuinely rewarding.

How did the Chef learn how to cook and what is his story?
I went to the culinary school of gramma Freda where I learned so much more than how to cook. My grandmother's kitchen was the center of her community. Everyone for whom she generously prepared and gave food loved her. There was always a seat and full plate for anyone in need. Her vendors were her friends that she respected for their skill and quality of ingredients. She depended upon their advice and they always saved their best products for her. That example is one I try to set for myself in all my encounters with vendors and customers. Under her loving tutelage I learned to experience and experiment with recipes using taste, smell and feel as my guide. It is those senses that I use today to create my own recipes to match the preferences of my clients with the ingredients that will best create recipes that they will savor and enjoy.
