How did you start your journey?
Inspired by the seas of the Maldives and the culinary diversity of Australia & Europe - leading to a very diverse style of cuisine including Maldivian, French, Italian, Mexican & Mediterranean.
Where is your cuisine inspired from?
My mum was my biggest inspiration as she was a well known chef in the Maldives - especially for local cuisine but even doing catering & cakes for various functions. Thus having grown up in an environment of fine food and commercial cooking, I started getting involved in cooking at the tender age of 7 or 8 years old, although I was more in the way than being able to do much! Thus my passion for cooking and food led it to being my profession although it is difficult to describe it as a 'job' when you enjoy cooking for someone else as much as cooking at home for yourself and for your loved ones! From my early culinary trainings in Australia to United States, the foodie in me has allowed me to travel the globe, learning from some of the true masters and discovering the never ending gastronomic possibilities and creating some of my own. Having had a diver international culinary journey expanding for over 16 years with multiple culinary medals/awards & including the title of "Best Maldivian Chef"; I am very much looking forward to sharing my creations with you at your dinner table!

A beautiful fosilized log-constructed French/Italian restaurant in the heart of the renowned zoo of ski village of Marecottes in the Swiss alps with a traditional wood fired pizza oven and grill - serving classic French dishes and the most wonderful thin crust Italian pizza finished in a wodd-fired pizza oven.
Hotel Management & Culinary | Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School | 2000 - 2003
A hospitality degree with culinary arts conducted in a simulated hotel with fully functional multiple restaurants (including fine dining) & bars. The best thing about a hotel & culinary degree in Australia is the diversity of the cuisine due to the multi-national mix of inhabitants and therefore having the opportunity to learn about a diverse range of world cuisine and to have a strong foundation!
3 year Degree | Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School | 2000 - 2003
Culinary training in the leading hotel school with a simulated hotel having multiple restaurants and bars including fine dining a la carte. Early culinary trainings coming from hotels and restaurants in Australia and USA such as Hershey Hotel.
