ARE THERE ANY FEES?
There is a 3% Foodie Service fee calculated from the booking subtotal. The subtotal is the complete price of the booking before service fees have been added. This covers the cost of processing Foodies payments.
HOW SHOULD I HANDLE THE COMMUNICATION WITH THE CHEF?
For your protection, all communication should be conducted through ChefXchange's platform to protect both parties should a dispute arise. Any verbal communication or any external e-mail communication between the Foodie and the Chef will not be taken into consideration in the event of a dispute. ChefXchange will only consider communication done via ChefXchange's workflow. *See ChefXchange's Terms and Conditions.

You are now 2 steps away from your exclusive culinary experience. If the offer reflects what you and the Chef have discussed (menu and pricing), all you need to do is accept it and then go ahead with the payment through our secured payment gateway by using your credit card. All that is then left for you to do is to...not worry and enjoy your upcoming ChefXchange experience!
HOW DO I BOOK A CHEF?
It cannot be any simpler (and if you think it can be, we want you on our team!). To hire a Chef on ChefXchange you will need to sign up and create a Foodie profile. Once you have created and activated your Foodie profile, you can then start searching for the Chef that will rock your world by type of cuisine, location, and date. We recommend submitting a request at least 2 weeks before your event date by using the "Message Chef" button. The Chef will then send you an offer which you can accept and go ahead with booking, or discuss more. We are also typically able to fulfill requests submitted with at least 72 hours notice.
WHAT IS A REASONABLE BUDGET?
This is very subjective and will depend on the ChefXchange experience you are looking for. Chefs will provide you with different menu options on their profile, with different price ranges that should cater to everyone's taste. Should that not be the case, do not hesitate to contact the Chef, informing him about your budget, and he will make his utmost to accommodate whenever possible
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
The cost of your meal includes the chef's labor, ingredients, and gratuity. It may also include any relevant travel costs and costs for waiters and any extra if applicable
HOW DOES PRICING WORK?
It's easy to book a ChefXchange experience for the same price as dining out at a nice restaurant. The cost varies based on ingredients, number of courses, and the chef's time. Chefs typically price their menus for a range of guests, and because the chef is usually at your home for the same amount of time whether they are cooking for few or many people, you can expect to pay a bit more per person for a small party, for the same menu.
LOOK FOR THE PERFECT CULINARY EXPERIENCE
Through our search functionality, you can look for a Chef by location, type of cuisine, and date. A list of Chefs will appear based on the criteria of your choice, and you will be able to seamlessly browse through their profiles, the menus they can offer, pictures of the dishes, the Chefs' story, the price they charge for each menu, as well as reading reviews left by other Foodies!
SEND REQUESTS TO CHEFS OF YOUR CHOICE
After identifying the Chef that will deliver the culinary experience you are looking for, please reach out to him/her through the messaging platform to express your interest and discuss the menu you would like to go for. Chefs will gladly tailor the menu they showcased to your liking and to accommodate any food allergies your or your guests may have. After agreeing on menu and pricing, the Chef will send you a booking request, including all the discussed details, for you to accept. YOUR HASSLE FREE CULINARY EXPERIENCE
The Chef will show up at your doorstep at the agreed time, with all the ingredients and crockery necessary (if not available in your kitchen) for the preparation of the meal. You can either sit down and relax with your guests while the Chef prepares; or make it an educational cooking session by watching him work his magic in your kitchen. You will then be served, after which the Chef will clean up the work-space he used and leave you and your guests full and happy. The next day, you will be able to leave a review and let all other wanna be Hosts know how awesome your Chef was!
